Our technical expertise and understanding of major UK Sonar Systems comes from working on programs such as Sonar 2054, 2074, 2093, 2193 and 2076 as well as development of shore-based, commercial and special fit equipment notably Spead 6. We have also conducted extensive studies in mine-hunting including the DIDMT research areas.

This experience enables us to provide full life-cycle support to prime contractors bidding for any underwater or surface programmes.

Open architecture for lower-risk COTS insertion

ALS has strong technical and commercial knowledge to recommend the optimum middleware option. This is through many years of reviewing/tracking candidate solutions, a deep understanding of open architecture and experience working with the full spectrum of COTS applications using older communications layers and numerous middleware options.

Our highly experienced team have developed sonar systems across many hardware and software platforms over many evolutions. With each evolution the means of isolating application software from hardware and operating system has also changed.

Crucially we have the pedigree to work on strategic systems such as Sonar 2054 and the latter astute command and control systems.
